Charging accessories via the cigarette lighter

Hey folks,

I've had two German cars in the past 8 months (Porsche & BMW), neither car seems to be able to fit my lighter adapter for my accessories (Garmin nav & iPhone chargers).

The car cigarette receptacle is too small.

Any one else have this experience? How did you deal with it?

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.

Mine fits the usual cigar lighter receptacle. And charges my phone (Moto) battery.

Have you other power adapters in E60? There is one under the glove compartment. The adapter for my Garmin fits there.

Xman, I forgot about the other power source. I'll try that out. I only drive it one a week anyway...been 4 months and I still find out things I never knew. Thanks!
