So a friend of mine works for BMW in retail parts and handed these two me a few months ago. I hooked them up today and they appear to be 6000K and they also seem to fit into the factory location as well as use the factory plug for my 2005 545i. Anyone know if they are just stock replacements or aftermarket?

Those are aftermarkets - they look like MTec V2's but PM member Brabusw209amg (John) for confirmation. Yes, those do look like direct fit and they are LED so they will be brighter than stock.

 

They look exactly the same 3W LED AE's that I'm having.

Compared to my M5 these look aftermarket for sure. Maybe PIAA or Predator V1's I am not sure but John(brabus) is the man to ask.

Why because he doesn't have an "M5"?

 

Those look like the $40 replica RDash angel eye LED bulbs. Look carefully at the bottom where the rubber and the housing meets. Check if it dims over a few months of use. They may blow prematurely but it wouldnt damage anything.

 

If anyone wants these I will sell them as I really don't have a need for them. I already installed some AE replacement bulbs anyway.
