I have been told that after retro fitting the M5 wing mirrors onto my E60 525i, i can not have the folding options enabled due to some wiring issues ? is that true ?

One thing for sure, the driver's door window console does not have the folding switch.

Anyone with a 525i has done it ?

 

Bro, 1st of all U need to change the whole window switch control on driver's side to the one with the fold-in switch controller.

The rest is plug & play.

Make sure you get the M5 mirrors for RHD!! Getting from here not so advisable cos most of the guys here are LHD cars.........

Thanks wilson, i am a subcriber to bmw-sg as well as malaysia. I've seen your modification chapters too.. but did not come across the one that you fitted yours with the M5 mirrors. What was your base model before the modifications ? and how much did u get ya wing mirrors for ? as i believed, one of the guys in BMW malaysia has contacted you about the LED tail llights and you are suppose to bring him the tail light samples ?? tinted and clear ?

 

Oh yeah, i;m planning to get a pair of DPE wheels, probably GT-7 or LS15 ..can't decide yet... how much did you get yours for ?

 

I have just installed M5 rear mirrors on my E61 yday and everything works properly; the folding, light, electrochrome etc.
