I picked up some replica M5 rims recently. I got a great deal on them and they are fine appearance wise. One problem however is that they are bronze in color and I plan to have them powder coated black. Another issue I am having is I can't find what tires I need for the rims. The seller told me they are 19.5" rims but it seems like 19.5" is not a common size at all. Anyway to find out what kind of tires I can run? I was reading around apparently several BMW rims that are actually 20" are said to as being 19.5".

A bit confused.

Ummm, really? If I were you, I'd figure out what size my rims are. Got a tape measurer? They're most likely 19", but you need to know for sure. You also need to know your width. Once you have this valuable information, may I suggest tire tirerack.com to determine the correct tire size?

You'll spend as much getting a quality paint job on those as it would cost to buy brand new replicas.

Sell them and start over.

assuming these are reps, they shouldn't be that expensive in the first place. Why not turn it into a project and paint it yourself. If you prep it well enough, a good rattle can paint job will turn out very nice.

I haven't encountered any 19.5" rims before but did read about it at the other forum though and Tirerack do sell 19.5" tires.

It should be marked on the back of the wheel. 19.5 tires are for big trucks and they don't make wheels like that for trucks.
