I changed both of my front turning signals to LEDs with the correct resistor loads today. However, both lights give me error messages after I start the car. The problem goes away after I turn each signal on for 2-3 seconds. (I can see the flash rate slows down)Does anyone have similar problem and know how to fix it? It is driving me crazy since I don't want to see any error messages popping up.

Which kind of LED and resistor did you use? Please provide more details. There are a few members here are pro when it comes to LED. They might be able to help you.

The error message only appears after I started the car. Once I flash the signal for 2 seconds, then it is gone.

You need canbus leds...otherwise you will get errors..

I had some turning leds on my mini with transistors, and these gave me an error warning, which would go away after turning on the turnsignal for the first time..
Just look for the canbus type instead of cheaper reps..

Yes. I have LCI model, too. Not sure if there is a way to go around it. I really like the white LED. But cannot stand the error message every single time I start the car. Can BMW disable this particular warning?
