This part is missing on my E60, and chance I can just buy the 4 chrome inserts and replace this one?



I appreciate the help. Trying to restore my CPO to as-new condition. Idea of a part number, even if it's replacing the whole louver mechanism?

Thanks, I'm trying to replace the little chrome insert as seen on the two middle vents.



$38, that's a bit much for a tiny trim piece. Hopefully I can get more creative.

ETA: Pretty odd, that the part number references vents with and without the little chrome piece. Ugh.

 

I think its $38 for the whole left or right vent. This is just an estimate though since individual dealer prices vary greatly.
getbmwparts.com or bmwmercedesparts.com will have cheaper prices.
Someone on the board has a junked E60 they are selling for parts. Maybe they can help you out.

Where is the part referenced with or without the chrome piece? I'm not seeing it...

Just a heads up but I used my vehicle specs for the diagram. I doubt the part numbers changed unless you have an LCI but you never know.

 

Yea, it's a different part number for my LCI. When I searched the part name on ebay I found that most of them do not have the insert. Thanks for the search structure on real oem, it's kind of cryptic to me right now.

Not sure I want to try and replace the whole thing.
