Thumbs up

Exhaust Mod Single to Dual ?!?!?

I have a 530i and I want to convert the exhaust to a dual system. What options do I have to convert the system. Is there an already made system that I can just replace mine with?

I went to a performance muffler shop and he told me it would cost 1300 ? 1500 just for materials (for a true dual system) to build a custom stainless steal piping from the headers out with borla exhaust. Is it worth it?

I am sorry I don?t know anything about this, I just want something done right so that it would look, sound and perform right with my m-tech kit.

Thanks!

i take it you mean to convert to quads. eisenmann, hamman, and rdsport are the brands that offer quad exhaust for the e60, except that hamann and eisenmann dont have a muffler on each side. rdsport features a muffler on each side. check out member vegastrashed's e60. he has the rdsport quad exhaust. i believe the full exhaust is about 10k. another option is that you could go custom. member imsortofabigdeal has magnaflow quad exhaust on his 530i and i believe it cost him maybe around 700. or you could always go with straight pipes. for borla quad, you could check with member jordan23junkee. he just put on a borla quad exhaust on his e60. hope this helps.

Great topic, I just purchased a 2005 545i , and also looking to convert from single to dual.

Hmm, It sounds kind of complicated though.. I wouldve imagined there would be a full easy (plug and play per se) setup already ?

Ive been searching around, will update you guys..

thanks

Looks nice. I have two questions:
1) Do you have a pic of the whole system or a pic from underneath the car so that I can see how the system fits?
2) It says not for M-Tech rear bumper. I have the M-Tech bumper; do you have one with the quad exhaust that will fit the M-Tech Bumper?

1) pics : http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=43362&st=45
2) Yes it will fit the M-Tech bumper, however we don't provide the template for the cut out.
