Help with Dension Gateway 500 needed please!!!

When I reset the aux box the blue LED light flashes Dension lists on Ipod and then says OK to disconnect.
I feel like ripping the blummin thing out too but I feel I have paid so much so far and I want to get ot working.
I am told I don't need a Multi changer in the car just enabling in the software.
does it need mp3 enabling aswell?

Regards Shaz......Not sure if you got this working yet or not, but I had the exact same issue when I installed mine (over the weekend), and I finally figured out the fix yesterday. I had to change the "Source" to be "iPod GW" as opposed to "iPod UI". I'm assuming that "UI" means user interface on the iPod itself, where "GW" obviously means full control via the Dension Gateway. Either way, now that I've made that change everything works as advertised. It is WAAAYYYY better than the BMW manufactured interface!!!
