I am supposed to pick up my 05 530 w/ NAV and SAT Radio, on Saturday. At first the dealer said he could install AUX. Then I got a call from the service department that the AUX could not be installed in this car. I told him that there are a lot of people on this site that have had it installed in their cars. He told me he would look into it further. He called me back and told me that he had contacted BMWNA, and they confirmed that it could not be done.

He told me that if I could come up with something that shows that it can be done, then he will do it.

Can someone help me with this ASAP.

BMWNA will always fail with the AUX INPUT. You need to push your dealer. Where are you located? You can help us help you by updated your profile. We can recommend other dealers in your area.

 

Ordered my Aux Input hardware about three weeks ago for install prior to delivery. Used the PDF found in this forum. No squaks from dealer in advance, but the service department was surprised by the amount of work involved. Probably their first one, and they hadn't bothered to read the bulletin prior to actually having to do what I had asked. However, all went well, and car was delivered with Aux input installed, set up in idrive and works just fine. In this regard the 6er is identical to the 5 series.

I am in Long Island New York. My dealer says that if I can get the part, he will put it in. I just need to find it.
