Hi, is it possible to switch the standard heater control switches for the nicer ones, not sure if theyre facelift or what, but is it possible to switch the whole unit or only the turn dials? i have included pics to show what i mean, i have the switches like the first pic but want to change to the 2nd pic.

The second set is part of the professional climate control (or whatever it's called), and you can't just change only that part. It is much more things involved in this. I think...

edit: I have a standard version too and I'm happy with it. Only that I could change the knobs if anyone could show me the ones that fit in there.

Yer i wouldn't mind changing just the knobs, i really don't like them, they look like they came off a 1980's nissan. I thought maybe switching the whole unit would work, i know you wouldn't get any new functions but i thought the standard controls you had before should work.

RS do some better alunimium knobs either self colour or black, the od is the same as the bmw knobs at 30mm. Havnt tried pulling a knob off though to see if the axle could fit. Has anyone tried pulling them off, can they be removed easily ?

Hi, bit of a longshot as it's been years sicne this thread was touched but I too am looking to change my heater controls, did you (or anyone else on the forum!) ever upgrade to the RS ones if so how easy was it? Alternaitvely has anyone performed any other upgrades on their heater controls?

Thanks,
Allan
