I was thinking of replacing my steering wheel with the M version or the Heated version of the standard wheel. Is the heated steering wheel thicker than the non? Is it as thick as the M version steering wheel? thanks I have the standard diamond wheel and want a thicker version of the same or if i have to move on to the M. thanks for your input. Brian

sorry, this is no help, but with your Sport model, didn't you get a sport wheel? perhaps its the UK spec on M Sport models only?

I was thinking of replacing my steering wheel with ... the Heated version of the standard wheel.

Who here knows doesn't want to help .

During next days I will come back to my dealer and I will order to those idiots to get diagrams of the E60 to study which parts I need to retrofit the heated steering wheel .
Otherwise I will call BMW Italy saying they aren't enough skilled with the E60 and if they can indicate me a decent dealer (dealers here are scared about complains to the headquarter)

I have the standard diamond wheel

Pls change it

I'll give a to the heated steering wheel. I've never had one before, and I love it.

You can have mine when you pry it from my cold dead hands.

Mine is heated with diamond shaped airbag. The M wheel is def thicker. Not sure if its thicker than the standard wheel though. So if ur going for thicker, go for M, or if ur going for heat n diamond shape air bag, just get the standard heated wheel.
