heads up display
Hi Folks,
Got a broken windscreen or windshield for all my American friends. Anyway, went to get a new one today and they did not have exactly the same one and i said no thanks get me the one with exact same tint. After much discussion they talked me into taking the better screen with the banding along the top.
Went to pick it up and my heads up display is seeing double, it looks all out of focus and i am figuring that they have given me a solar screen with reflective glass and its making the projector reflect of the coating and it looks like a shadow effect. It looks crap.
Anybody experience this before? They were closing tonight as i left so will have to call them tommorow.
Cheers

yup, broke mine only 2 weeks after purchasing the car. There are 2 types of windshields as noble mentioned. One has a special coating specifically for the HUD, you need that one. If you get a regular one, you will have exactly the issue you described.
