Thanks Rudy and my530i. I really wanted the 7" but it was too big for the headrest because of the bezel. This monitor was the only one that fit that Fry's has at that time.
my530i - I purchased the new Nav2Go with Idrive control. I know that you have installed this unit before. Would you consider installing the Nav2Go for others?

Looks very nice!
Too bad we have comfortseats in our car (well, love the seats) but it's so hard to find a monitor that will fit into the headrest
I would like to install a screen between the front seats, just like the 7-series!
do a search on the brodit bracket for the e60 fits perfectly info on the forum

Justin,
That's what I'm talking about, but yours is fully customed job done by you.
I'm too lazy to look around, but there are some 7" screen can fit on E60 out there without doing custom job.
Where the wires go? Inside those two tubes?

I ran the monitor wire inside the right side tube of the headrest. I cut two slot in the tube. One top slot for the wire to go in and one lower slot for the wire to go out of the tube. The top slot was just above plastic cover inside the headrest. The lower slot was just above the white plastic ball joint of the lifting mechanism inside the seatback.
Let us know if you find a 7" monitor that fits in the stock headrest.
