Headers on M54 E60

well I'm hoping that I will be able to diy, however I know that its going to have to be modified a little and I can't weld. One of the flanges on the headers is at a different angle on the e46 than it is on the e60 so I either have to cut and rotate the flange on the headers or else on the oem midpipe. I'm debating which one to do, been told the one on the midpipe is easier because not stainless steel however it would make changing back to stock a little more difficult. The O2 simulators I will likely do diy because no shop around here would even know what I'm talking about. Once they show up I'll try to document as much as possible.

OMG! I'm searching this mod about 3 months, nothing is specially done except Supersprint headers (but price so high) for e60 M54 
Guys, can you give me a link to eBay headers about you talking? Thx!
Also may be a problem that e60 exhaust is 2.5" (if I'm not wrong), but e46 have 2.0" or 2.2"?

Subscribed! I just bought the headers from ebay for the e46 M54 330i, hopefully install will go smoothly, just need help with the O2 sims, please tell me where to get these, thanks man!!

Nice, glad to see someone else on board. Mine are on there way, as far as I can tell all I will ahve to do is have the flange on one of the headers cut and rewelded at a different angle. As for the O2 sims, I got mine from Anthony at bimmerbrakes. I haven't quite decided how I am going to tackle this part. Various e46 guys have tried various methods with varying results.

I looked at that thread before. I was thinking of trying to leave the O2 sensors in and then splice in the sims and see if that combination works.

Yea I see what you mean, is there a difference between the e60's O2 sensors compared to the E46's? Any other parts we need to make this work? I think the OP on the thread shows that we need to get a O2 simulator dual-in/out, and couple other parts. So far I just bought the headers, I'm going to oder the O2 simulator from O2sim.com and the heat resistors. Then get the small eletrical galavanized box, and plastic project box from radioshack, plus the bolts and gauge wires too. I like this guys DIY looks pretty simple to me, what way are you going to get it done? Shoot me a PM and let's talk man.
