Hey guys...I have a 530 with no sports package....which means I have the seats that suck. My head does not reach the headrest with my back against the seat. I saw this car the other day in a parking lot that had what looked to be like a slip on to the head rest to give it more volume. It looked like an OEM part as the leather was a perfect match. Anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

well those headrests are part of the "comfort seats" i believe. and the head part that slides off wont fit our seats unless we cut the hole to be wider? "the part of the ehadrest that slides out on the 2 metal stick thingys"

maybe it was part of the comfort seats which have that extra adjustable padding on the headrest?

yea thats what im talking about that hes referring to. Ive seen the headrests(of the comfort seats which have like the little pillow for your neck/head) for sale on ebay and stuff but ive been told that they will not slide into the regular seats unless u drill a bigger hole for the inserting part

Don't the standard headrests pivot forward? The sport seats in both of my E46's did this, as well as the non-sport seats in my wife's X3.

I'm afraid just drilling a hole won't do much good since you need the entire comfort seat system to properly use the head rest.

Not true...Do a search, someone retrofitted the comfort seat headrest to a normal seat.
