the E60s already have a strut bar. it's under those plastic pieces and ties back to the firewall, more effective than one that just ties the posts together. Any additional one is merely jewelry.

(not that there's anything particularly wrong with that, just don't expect any handling improvement.)

I don't see how it could hurt, plus it isn't bad looking and it is super cheap for all that machined aluminum.

IMHO, its a waste of money! the stock strut bar is well sufficient enough!

Is it cheap or inexpensive??? They are VERY different things!

True. I would say a mixture of both, I really doubt that the way those two allen bolts snug up to the machined shock mounts would add a noticeable amount of rigidity. But for $80 it's almost a 'why not?' purchase, if it doesn't work out at least you have some moderate engine dressing. I couldn't imagine, however, a circumstance where much beyond the stock handling of the E60 would be needed - at least for street driving. Having sport suspension and 20's makes my car pretty fun getting onto onramps, but the fun ends there because I like my license.

it's fastened with 2 allen screws? don't see how that would withstand a lot of stress.
