I've recently bought a new set of rear tyres and decided to go for Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres. However, the side wall of the tyre only says "Michelin Pilot Sport" no indication that this is version 2. I have been given the original versions? Is there a quick and easy way to spot the difference between the two?

You can tell by the tread pattern, PS vs PS2 are completely different. See th elinks below:

Huge relieve, I have definitely got the PS2s. I did try a Google Image search knowing the tread pattern was different but some images were labelled as the original PS with the PS2 tread so I got confused.
I was trying to buy the PS3s but they don't sell them in the size for my rears (275/30/19s) and it appears they won't sell them for a while. I've still got Continental Contact 2 tyres on the front so hard to tell the difference so far. I've not been pushing the car much either as letting the tyres bed in for a few 100 miles first as well.
Most people say the biggest difference is in the wet weather so I shall see when we get some in UK (probably won't be long).
Thanks for all the help.
