Unhappy

I have read Bruce's DIY and i cant seem to figure it out, i also have the logic 7 system. Im hoping someone that has the Logic 7 system has hooked up an amp to the stock subs. Anyone do it Bruce's way? any other way is also fine.

Why not be the first, I'll help you along the way. It should be very straight forward.

I've done a quick drawing of what you will need.

Both new plugs are BMW part number 61 13 1 383 502 but the female uses BMW female contacts part number 61131376204 and the male uses BMW male contacts part number 61131376193

I suggest only take the remote signal from the original L7 amp and get new power installed for your new Amp because those wires may not be able to handle two amps running off it.

Also your new Amp needs to have a High Level input or else you will need to run the Sub Outputs from the New Female plug through a LOC before connecting it to the new amp.

also i checked and i dont see how the new male plug would connect into the original plug. There are no open slots on the original plug or the stock amp

You need to disconnect the orignal plug from the stock amp. Then you need to plug the original plug into your newly constructed Y cable into the New Male plug. The Sub output come from the L7 amp via the New Female plug.

according to the diagram nothing connects into the Original amp, not even the original plug, is that correct? Except the sub outputs come from the orig. amp to the new female plug. Also is a mono amp, ok to use?

Sorry my diagram was meant to tell you want to do at a high level, not give you a step by step DIY. The New Female goes back into the old L7 amp because you still need to drive all the other speakers with it.

The idea is that you are continuing to use the L7 amp to drive all the speakers etc the subs and instead you are using the L7 amp to drive the New amp which in turn drives the new subs.

You will need a stereo amp as you are driving two subs.

Sorry to correct you bruce depending on the ohms of the subs hes running he could run a mono amp ive ran 4 subs wired at 1ohm with a mono 1ohm stable amp mono and stereo amps infact have nothing to do with how many speakers you want to run you just have to wire the ohm's correctly
