Just as the title states, has anyone done this?
I am considering doing this MOD or adding OEM 550i tips simply because I can not stand the "tiny" 530i tips. I would just have it put on over my OEM exhaust tips.
I would love to see some pics of how it looks if anyone has done this quick and easy MOD.
Thanks!
Zack

Yes. I have done just that on this car. You must remove the current tips and have these welded on. Very easy.

I has the real ACS whole exhaust installed on my e39 540 6 speeds and knew it cost a lot of money but worth nothing when I sold the 540. I am considering just put on the tip for my 545. Do you have other pictures from the rear with a little bit far back of showing the whole back of the car? Thank you.

As a matter of fact, I do.
That looks nice. When you said remove the OEM tips, does that mean you need to cut the whole tip? Then welding the ACS tip on? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E36-E46...sspagenameZWDVW
Thank you again.

Sorry, but do you have a close up picture under the tip of showing where it was welded?

Do you think I should do this MOD? I have a black on black 530i which is all stock, do you think by adding these ACS tips it "wouldn't go with the rest of the car" because they would be too big and stand out since nothing else on the car is MOD'd?
Also, how did you remove the factory OEM 530 tips?
Thanks again!

they look nice but i would rather spend more money and get exhaust system. It is just look and not functional. I would not spend money on this honestly

I am merely going for looks over performace as you can tell.
I am debating on whether or not to do these ACS style tips or OEM 550i tips...Hmmm.
I am just trying to replace my tiny 530i tips with something larger, thats all! Any opinions??
Thanks!!
