I had Llumar Axcess http://www.llumar-axcess.com/index.html window tint put on the windows and sunroof about a month ago. I have to say I am very pleased. The tint levels are 50 fronts 30 rears 15 back. The sunroof is 30 also. The work was well done by the installer who also did a clear bra installation.

The tinting has been most helpful in reducing the felt heat in the car. The front windows were letting a lot of heat in the car. That has been seriously lessened with the tinting. I don't care much for sunroofs but the wife does. I am now much more willing to run with the sunroof slider open and the window closed. Glare is less and heat is not much of a problem.

The clear bra is a comfort as the bugs are on the plastic not on the paint. He did a good job on that also.

The installer is located on the Central Coast of Cali if anyone needs a referral.

Looks great! I just recently had all windows done with a 35%. Was stopped at a light right next to a city motor cop that didn't seem to care...fortunately!! Hopefully my luck will continue.

I wasn't willing to risk going more than 50 in front. Even that isn't legal but it's far from as dark as I've seen driving around. You probably won't be hassled unless stopped for something else. I got stopped the other day, 49 in a 35, no speeding ticket but have to put on a front plate. Good trade-off though and a really good break. I don't think the officer believed he could testify that a 4 door sedan went from 0- 49 in about 60 yards.

If you do get pulled over roll down the front windows quick!

I had lumar 35 all the way around.. I got pulled over just for the tints and had to goto court. I removed the front and rear window tint for court and then I got 50 put on the front and rear windows with the original 35 on the back. I like it better now and hopefully It wont be a problem..

In Cali they don't care what you run on the back windows, you can go to 5 which is limo tint.
50 on the front is one notch not legal but I'm betting/hoping I won't get called on it. It's hard to see in the pics but as you know 50 is pretty mellow for tints these days.

Really? During my one and only Cali tint stop (years ago) I was informed that NO additional (other than stock window color) tint on fronts is allowed. If that's changed, I'd like to know, because I'm considering my tint options.

p.s. I also run with no front plates (illegal in CA), and I realize that increases the odds for a 'dual fix-it' ticket...
