I bought a set of Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 255/35/19 and 275/30/19 on a 05 530I immediately notice a vibration when I got on the highway that was not there with the previous set. A little background first, I've had Bilstein Coilovers, and lower control arms installed with alignment done prior to purchase of tires. Anyway Discount tire was very courteous about the matter and order 2 new fronts which after those were installed the vibration was even worse. Again Discount tire ordered yet another set and this time around everything worked out just fine no more vibration, on each installed the premium road force balance was done.

All I have to say is my local Discount Tire made no excuses for the tires they just replaced them without question and even gave me a couple of cans of cleaner for my troubles and lowered my cost on the insurance I was very pleased with the outcome, these things happen.

I thought 255 would cause rubbing on non-M5 fronts..

I think he means tire warranty if he has a bubble on the sidewall or unrepairable tire punctures. Usually $15 extra per tire

It's not your tires... Hate to tell you. Get your thrust arm bushings looked at as well as balance. I've had two set of V12s, both excellent- One e39 and one my 550i. It's one of the highest rated tires in both Car and Driver and Road and Track.

No doubt, Arctic. They beat out every tire in this comparo except for the Dunlop Star Z1s. Love 'em.

However, as the OP stated, it took multiple Hankook tire changes AFTER the lower control arm change until the vibrations went away. At any rate, it seems more people are posting Hankook vibration issues than before.

Similar complaints are partly why I decided against the Hankooks. The Discount Tires guy also warned me against them, saying to get the Michelins. The Michelins also have a wear warranty that may work. We'll see.
