If I have stock halogen lights.. 2010 528xi
Is it easy to replace them with xenon?
or is there a lot of work involved?
I dont mean the bulbs.. The entire light itself.

 

 

Nope ... a lot more to it from just simple swap ...

You'll need at least coding 'cuz the car DNA was born with Halogen so the startup check will lit up iDrive with warning/error when it finds Xenon instead.

Proper function Xenon will need height level sensor on each axle for auto leveling to work properly and headlight washer ... also some more if you want Adaptive headlight too ... so additional sensor(s) & wiring.

Since you already have LCI headlight the halogen already in a lens not much different if you just swap the std H7 bulb -> Xenon HID bulb.

 

Thanks.. Yea I was going to ask that. .I have HIDs for in there. .for lows, highs.. even the white LEDs for directionals.. So I wasn't sure if there was a big difference in appearance.

I have to buy new lights because my lenses are all cracked for reasons not worth getting into right now...So was wondering the difference. Thanks for the info
