its fun to play around with it....but id have to agree with Michael from Acute and give it the thumbs down lol

you may be on to something tho, keep messing around with it and you might find something that works well. experimentation is the key! (thats what she said)

Kudos for doing something different. You have to like it that is all that matters.

Instead of wrapping the whole car... here's another possibility!

http://www.hidplanet...n-all-09-SLK300

I just came across this yesterday, and am amazed by how far people have taken Plasti-Dip to. I think most of us are aware of that Audi that was sprayed to white, but seems like there has been quite a few since then.

Also the site that sells it with awesome price is dipyourcar.com. I am so tempted! Basically recolor your entire car in an afternoon for $200. Plus if you want it to be glossy instead of flat color, you can get the Plasti-Dip glossifier (which is a new thing to me). So awesome...

I think if this takes off more, people won't be doing wraps anymore unless it's something specific like CF wrap.

I actually picked up some Plasti-Dip earlier this week. Tomorrow I'll be plasti-dipping my stock 18" rims off my 08 535i to see how they'll look. I'd love to get new rims but need to use $ for other things so this will hopefully be a decent compromise.

Make sure you get glossifier for the plasti dip. It will make the rims look shiny, glossy and wet. Dipyourcar.com has it.

Simon, if you decide to try this out - come to my house. We can do this in my garage and I really want to see the results.

yeah I saw that. however if Lowe's doesn't have it then it'll have to be another day. I've completed 2 tires today and will do the other 2 tomorrow. What I wonder is if I can successfully put the glossifier on at a later time or if there will be too many contaminents from driving. Not sure how easy to clean the plasti-dip. I don't want to hiijack this thread so I'll create a new one for this mod when I get a chance.
