You're right Olli. Turner sent me an email this morning clarifying themselves. My bad. Were any sedans ever made with self leveling or just the wagons? I assume it's just for the wagons, since they assume that wagons may carry heavy loads in their rear...
Wagon only feature.

You might have read somewhere about a "self leveling system" on E60 sedans, but that refers to the Xenon lights.

LOLOLOL! That is so funny. I said the same thing. The thing that sucks is that I work in Manhattan and don't get home until late each night. There's going to be no hiding the fact that I ordered these, when a big ass UPS box is sitting outside our front door when she comes home. I need to figure out a way to sell her on the fact that the car "needed" it. Hahahaha!

Just tell her it's a friend's used one..works all the time..hahaha

She's way too smart for that. I told her tonight. The nice thing for me is that we used to have an '03 E39 530i Sport and she LOVED the M sport suspension on that car. I told her that with these new springs, this will give her that same feel on our E60. She said okay and that was that. Hahaha!

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

At least you get them at really good prices.

I've also always used H&R, but this time on the E60 I've used Eibach ProKit. Not really happy. The handling is excellent, but, at least on the E60, Eibach is far to conservative on the drop. The rear looks like it's not been lowered from my standard M-tec at all.

Get those springs in and let us see pics, pics, pics.

cmansbimmer,

Thanks so much for keeping watch and letting us know about the springs. It appears I'll be moving from Iowa down to Huntsville, AL in the very near future. I'm selling my snow tires/rims and putting the money towards the springs and installation. WOO-HOO!!

Can't wait to see the pics of yours!

Glad I could help. I made staying in touch with H&R, my mission since last year. I hounded them constantly about our cars. I think they actually got sick of me emailing them so much. LOL!

My springs arrive on Wednesday and I have an appointment to have them installed on Saturday morning. I'll take before and after pix, as well as, report back on ride quality. Chances are though, the springs will need a week or so to settle so it may not appear to be much lower at first, but 35mm is quite a bit. I can't wait! I'm now considering the H&R sway bars too.

Maybe I should have you call my wife! I'm ordering a set this week, and I'll have to hide them. Who are you using to install them? Did you get a good price on the install? I called one shop today that said it would take a day and with the allignment be around $1,200 to 1,300. I hate the Firestone store and I'm reluctant to have the BMW dealership do it. I see some of the members have been quoted $1,000 which I thought was high but now I hope to find a shop to do it for that price. Do you think we may be getting gouged because we own BMW's? Most of the shops post rates of $49 to $69 per hour which is about 14 to 20 hours of work. Seems like a lot of time needed to install 4 springs.

I posted a thread on M5Board last week. Neil (LI-M5) who has done major modding on his M5, suggested a place to me. He's sent 8 or 9 M5 owners in my town, over to this place. I went over to the place on Saturday morning to meet Neil (who was having a SS exhaust installed) and Nick, the owner of Checkpoint Automotive. This guy is no joke. He quoted me $400 for install. Alignment I'll get done at Firestone for $69. This is who I am going to use. Do you want Nick's info? He's in Melville, off Rte 110.

That would be a hell of a ride but could be fun with the new suspension on the way home. Why don't you give the info to me and if nothing else they might be able to refer me to someone closer. Thanks!

Which sway bars are you considering (size, front/rear, etc. -- not brand). I'm so ignorant, I don't even know what size we already have.
