H&R Sway Bars
Had the H&R sway bars installed today and all I can say is "WOW"!
I went for the hardest setting for the front and med setting for the rear.
Firstly, there is no negative impact on ride comfort. I expected this but happy nevertheless to have it confirmed.
Secondly, the car feels more responsive when taking turns with minimal body roll. I haven't pushed the car hard yet but I think it's leaning more towards oversteering now than before. This could just be a perception thing? Regardless, it is an awesome and noticable feeling. Was going to put it through the paces today but decided not to with the wet road conditions. Can't wait to take it on one of my runs in the hills and country side
Will post pics later. However, the difference in sway bar sizes are as follows:
BMW Front Sway bar: 23mm
H&R Front Sway bar: 27mm
BMW Rear Sway bar: 13mm
H&R Rear Sway bar: 19mm
For anyone considering this mod, don't hesitate...JUST DO IT

Thanks for the write-up, this mod has been on my mind as you know from our pm's - I thought you were going to try the lowest setting first and take it from there...thinking about it though, it sounds like a reasonable setup: front oversteer tendency - and rear set to medium to avoid any aggressive "snap" outs during a tight corner.
looks like I'm out another 500euros soon...

i love the handling of my e60 already, but this mod has been tempting to me as well.. as well as to others that i know..
oh alpinewhite... if you see this, remember what you said after the canyon run?

Yah, I never really get why sway bars don't get much more attention here.
There are one best mods to a suspension you can do to emlimnate body roll.
It is night and day when they are installed.
My buddy had a set installed on his M3, I said there was no way you could improve it, but I was wrong, it was a huge difference.

Good job Leburpor.
Do you have active roll stabilization on your 550? How does this mod affect ARS, if at all? Thanks.
