My Ride: 2006 530xi (Titanium Grey/ Black interior) Debaged, L.e.d. light upgrade throughout. ACS roof spoiler. H&R sport sprigs, Angel eye upgrade, euro sticker, ,matte black grills.
Default

Does any one know if I cut (1) turn off the H&R sport springs, would it mess up the ride. I have an xi and like the drop of coilovers but non are available for the all wheel drive models. So i figured i could cut one coil off the front springs for that nice, aggressive drop.

any input?

I think KW makes the v3's for the xi now. Dont cut the springs you will regret it.

This was the front of my xi on H&R's. Drop was fine.

That looks perfect with those CSL's. Too bad the ride was aweful for you. I know these rims have been played already but you dont see them on the streets where I live and the look is classic

Doesn't that depend on if the springs are progressive or linear? I've always heard that if their progressive then you can cut off a coil, and it doesn't affect the ride, but if their linear, then no, if you cut, the ride will suffer.

As far as I know H&R and Eibach are progressive. Might want to give H&R a call and get their .02 cents worth
