Sport is my choice, Race (by definition) would be too harsh for daily driving IMHO. More for track use.

I have sport. It's not an aggressive drop, but keeps the ride comfy.

Race looks meaner, but again you'll have to watch the road a little more for bumps.

I would also choose race, if you want to go any lower and have a nice ride spend the money and get coilovers.

There was no option to stick with the BMW springs and save the money. I vote for that

Sport, race is way too low and rough ride.

the sport is more common. most would recommend with either set of springs, best to go with aftermarket shocks so you only do the labor once. if not, with the sports, yes they are made to complement the stock shocks but it would really depend on the condition of them, and the springs wont stop the shocks from wearing out quicker. if you decide to go with the race, for sure get aftermarket shocks from the get-go. most of the time people who go with the race springs just want that drop. another option would be coilovers, replaces the whole shock and spring setup.
