Nice ride. That's the look I want.. With like 1/2 inch gap in the fender, lol.

Well, if it is bouncy on rough roads.. here in NYC I'm pretty fucked! Roads here are horrible.

Thanks for the input
You just have to roll through slow anyways so everybody can see you

Looks like the consensus is

1. Definitely at least consider shocks (Anyone know which ones fit or what specs we need on Xi's? )

2. DO NOT CUT THE BUMP STOPS

You'd be wrong on your consensus......don't believe it!

The ride is crap, and you will regret it. Do the drop right with KW coilovers!

How did I know you were gonna come in and try to spoil my consensus?!

Ok, Doc, so KW's is the ONLY way, as far as you know? There just HAS to be an alternative. HAS to... please?

Seriously though, if I got H&Rs and a nice set of adjustable shocks, wouldn't that pretty much mimic the function of the coilovers? I understand that the coilovers are made as a set and they are matched pretty much perfectly as far as shock and spring heights, resistance, bounce, etc. (excuse me if I'm using some non-existent terms, btw - I know all these characteristics are parts of the specs, just don't know the proper terms LOL I'm the poster child for "Ignorance is NOT bliss" btw but that's a whole 'nother thread). Getting back to the topic, If I have H&Rs and say I do my due diligence and find a more or less perfectly matching shocks and adjust them to optimal settings on my car, you are saying it would still be easier, cheaper and more reliable to get a set of KWs - correct?

I totally agree, crap is crap no excuses for that
However if you don?t care about your ride comfort only the looks, just buy the springs only but you have been warned ....
Ok I admit if you live in area with roads like in airport no problem but some bumps and you will regret it...

A little cheaper option would be buying those H&R and Koni FSD?s (or some other sport shocks) ... how much cheaper depends pricing in US.

Still KW 2 or 3 is best balanced and most secure option and you can adjust the hight you like

I would have loved to do coils but the springs cost me $300 installed instead of a couple grand for coils.

On another note, I put my 17" rims back on for the winter yesterday and the 10% crap roads here don't feel so bad now!

for the price, you cant really beat H&R Sport Springs, but i would get it done correct the first time, which are KW coilovers Varian 2 or 3 should be fine for your case
