So I have a 07 530 with sports suspension which I have to say is pretty damn impressive for a sedan. I wanted a bit better "glue" to the road. I feel sometimes the car bounces a bit up and down especially if going on hilly roads or at WOT-are sport stiff springs a good idea-H and R maybe or what do you guys recomend?
I know there are lots of parts on the sport susp that you do not wanna mess with. Ie the active suspension crap with sway bars and I am not even sure what else but what things can you upgrade and what things do you not wanna touch?

there have been many conversations on this topic. well for springs, most members are riding on H&R sports. for the majority, the decision was between H&R sports and eibach pro-kit. if you want something even stiffer, just go for coilovers. youll be fine switching out the stock sport springs.

I dont have sport spring but alot of HK people say H&R are good.
Ive heard ride quality on the H&R sport is alot better than the Eihbach, i can barely tell the difference from my stock, very nice ride.

I have H&R sports and went ahead on got Koni sport shocks to replace the 530 sport package parts. I'm very happy with it overall -- not at all harsh and feels great in corners. Going to a driving school next month, so looking forward to seeing how it does on the track. Only thing I would do different is set the rear Koni's to about 25-30% stiffer (I left them on the softest setting and they are not adjustable on the car).
Going to the 19" wheels and lower profile tires (switching from my 18" winter set-up) made much more of a difference on the ride than the suspension. Going straight from run-flats you would notice less of a difference.

My Ride: No mods

here are the choices:
H&R sport springs: i have them and the majority have them too. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry417088
H&R race: if you want the very agressive look. look at pics of forum member ICEMAN 316. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=38402&hl=
Eibach Prokit: supposedly stiffer than HR, but drop is not that low
Eiback Sportline: almost like HR race. look at pics of forum member snikt21
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=36820&hl=
you can also go with coilovers, but expect to be 1k or more

Arggg never ends with mods-looks great and thanks for the info-nobody was posting forever and that is very helpful but I am betting a drop would not look good with the 18s I have and would have to go to 19s. The fender wells are too wide and deep as it is and putting them closer to the 18s would look silly IMO-unless someone has pics. Thanks though!

H&R does lower the car more, but we don't want that in HK with bad roads and hazards.
