H&R Sport Springs or H&R Coilovers for 545i Sport?

My Ride: 2004 545iA - Built date 09/03, Sport Package, Alpine White III, Grey Interior, Cold Weather Package, PDC, Rear Electric Sunshades, Comfort Seats, Logic 7, Chromed BMW Style 124 18x8, 18x9 Wheels, M-Tech Aero Kit, Rear Trunk Decklid Spoiler, Tinted Windows, Valentine One Modifications: RDSport Quad Exhaust, 20x8.5 and 20x11 HRE 943R, Vorsteiner CF Decklid, Dinan CAI

I am currently debating between the H&R Sport Springs or H&R Coilovers for my '04 545i Sport.
Any thoughts/suggestions before I finalize my decision in a day or so? Please comment on the pro and con, handling and especially ride quality for those that have installed either or both. I noticed some have switched from H&R Sport Springs to H&R Coilovers. I really want to do it right the first time. I believe I have ARS on my car. Tirerack indicated I would need to get the H&R Sport Springs for cars with ARS but that means I can only lower the front?

As of right now, I am kind of gravitating towards the sport springs since my shop indicated that the ride is going to be very harsh with the coilovers. However, I don't want to just lower the front. Thanks in advance.

what ever shop told u the rides goin to be more harsh with coilovers is out of their minds.. with coilovers you can adjust the height of ur ride and also has the best ride quality. The sport springs alone aren't harsh (I have them) but they have alot more sporty feel but can be to much at times. the decision u have to make is are you willing to spend the extra money on the coilovers.. but hands down the coilovers are the better choice..

coilovers.. hamann 5 pretty much said it all. some of my homies, one with a GTi and one that had an R32, went from springs to coilovers and couldnt shut up about it. ive also driven their cars and to me it feels the same as springs.. just a little bit stiffer and i like it. the only reason why i didnt wanna drop my car is because when i park head in i find myself putting my front bumper over the curb.. plus my steep driveway into my garage. but highly recommend coilovers.

If money isn't an issue with you then by all means do get the coilovers. I currently have the setup you might be going for: 545 Sport, ARS, H&R Sport springs.

yo guys you are right for stock BMW E60. For M suspension or normal sport suspension sport lowering springs are the best so is H&R!!! =HM

Tried both on my 530i.
I would say Coil over is the best. If money is not an issue, you won't regret with the coilover.

I'd say coilovers. I don't like to get stuck with one height all the time. I like to be able to change it. Also, I'd get coilovers that can adjust the dampening, so that the ride wont be as tough. I have friends who use springs, and complained to me after because their ride felt different.

Best are coilovers KW2 are the best as for what I read. I jus tto have the PPS9s in my old M3, and were good. the only thing it started to rust a bit while the KW2 wont. (H&R will rust too).
If you decide go for springs (cheapest way if you just want looks and occasional pushing your ride) the H&R (not the race) will drop your car a sure 1" while Eibachs Prokit will drop a 0.5" in an E60 Sport Pacakge equiped car (I just installed the Eibachs in my car).
