True dat. Just hope and pray the M5 you are up against isn't supercharged as well.

Most likely, the M5 owner will think his/her M5 is fast enough stock to beat a plain old e60 regardless of the model. 95% of the time they'll be right. It's just that one 5% of the time...
I would say less then 5% maybe .5% of the E60s because no one is crazy enough to supercharge a $60k car Except us

I was under the impression that a stock M5 would still beat any supercharger out there. Am I wrong?

And I agree that no car is fast enough so in my wishful thinking of getting an M5, I would definitely modify it also..... it never ends....

I've actually been fantasizing about adding nitrous...for those special occasions...when no babies are in the back seat of course!

I have seen 469HP/450lb-ft thrown around for a supercharger. Change the differential to a final drive ratio of 3.73. I think with these two mods a 550/545 can beat a M5 from 0 - 60 as well as the 1/4 mile. What are other people's opinion on this?

That's not an opinion whether the supercharged 550/545 can beat a M5.

My only concerns are what that much hp/torq will do to our standard spec SMG transmissions as well as the dreaded dealers look when we need warranty/service work done.

I would say no since an R54 motor from RDSport that produces about 500hp in a 645 has a 0-60 performance time of 4.5s while the M5 is supposedly rated as low as 4.1.

Hey jiio do you think VF supercharger would give us a discount if we get 3 superchargers?
