my car has sports suspension which i like.
I want to lower the car a little bit due to bigger rims that i will put on soon.

Now the question is I want to maintain the same road feeling I have.
which one should i go with H&R race, or H&R sports or something different like Eibac pro kit

Give me your input if you have any one of them.

Thanks!

I had to get H&R sport since they are the only ones available for my xi. I heard that Eibach has the best ride quality in terms of closest to stock. If you go with H&R I would go with sport. It will lower your car about 1.3-1.4"s which is more then enough, unless you wanna slam it.

H&R race is a 2" drop all around, with your sports suspension it will be 1.3" drop all around. H&R sports for a 525 is 1.4" front and 1.3" rear, and for your sports suspension it will be a 0.7" drop front and 0.6" rear. Hope this helps.

many have gone with H&R sports springs with springs only and stock shocks. it's been said that the H&R sports and eibach pro-kit were made to work with the stock shocks although many would recommend going with aftermarket shocks to accomodate the springs. if you would want H&R race springs, for sure you would have to go with aftermarket shocks because of the more significant drop. PM sent in next 2 minutes regarding info

wezzy is a great guy to deal with!! and a good resource for info on springs, cuz he actually uses what he sells!!
But I'd recommend getting your wheels installed first so you'd know how much of a drop you'd need for YOUR car.... GL with the modding!! be sure to post pix...

I have not installed my springs just yet.

What do you guys think about my vehicle, does it look like it could use a drop?
Wheels are 20".

I've installed H&R Race on 330Ci Sport Package (buddy's car)
Spring rate felt good and I don't think it was harsh at all and I don't think it was too slam to kill OE sport package struts.

It may apply the same way w/ E60 but I don't know.
I'm still trying to find someone local to test ride w/

If your struts blow out, I don't think it'll be in the next 6 months.
And also 2" drop is measured from non sport package = 1.4" drop from sport package.
Anything below 1.7 (at least from what I've experienced) is fairly conservative.

As for me, I'm going w/ H&R Race and Koni Adjustable in the future.
Both are less than $1G. I think it's a good price for good adjustable suspension.
