well i wanted a stiffer more controlled ride as i did not get the sport suspension and there were no regular shock spring combos, and i always in the future be able to make a move up or down if nescasary
Pretty much the same reason why I didn't slam mine even though I have the KW coilovers. The height and compression adjustability drew me to the coilovers even though once they were set, you don't really touch them again. People who track their cars would make the most use out of the adjustabilities of coilovers. I think I was more worried about getting separate springs and shocks, having them installed and finding out I didn't like the height or ride quaility. With coilovers, I can adjust to my needs.

e60_kmm, member soc_fans has H&R on his 530 as well. PM him to see if he has similar problems although I've never heard him mention anything.

How low did the car drop, were you happy with the ride height?

They have coilovers not HR Race springs.

I had the same issue years ago, but with Neuspeed springs for my Honda Prelude. They made this funny squeaking noise. The installer said a lot of Neuspeed springs are like that. Didn't believe him at first, but two of my buddies had the same problem with their VW with Neuspeed springs also. Ended up switching to Eibach, no problems.

Have it looked at by another shop. Another opinion won't hurt. Good luck.
