running 245/35/20 fronts and 285/30/20 rear on h&r sport springs rubs like hell but i rolled the fronts and only rub on steep drive ways.rears would rub with 1 adult in the back till i rolled it and cut part of the rear inner bumper lip, sounds bad bad you cant really tell.i can have 2 adults in the back with no rubbing issues.

can you take a pic of the top portion of the rear lips to see how it looks with them Cut?... I have the same issue rubbing the side of the rear sidewall when I have 1-2 people in the back. I was thinking of pushing them out like 5mm if i could. I think it would clear, cuz It's super close.

What size tires are you running?

I have 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 Falkens... I rub like crazy turning into driveways. I want to know what I need to do other than roll the fenders. My wheels are 20x8.5 and 10" rear with the correct offset for the car. The rears are ok, unless I have two people in the back and hit large dips in the road.

I need new front tires soon and was thinking of getting 235/35/20 tires to help... I'd rather not go with a 30 series tire in the front, but will if I have to.
I have a 545 sport and my setup is ... 245/35/20f and 285/35/30r....no rubbing at all.

so for the most part it seems like the average person running 20's either need a super low wall and/or need to modifie their fenders...... well it looks like 19's may be a safer bet and better approach to this issue rather then touching the fenders... i personally have been looking at 20's and wanted 20's but im not really willing to start modifying the fenders and i do not want rubbing to be an issue at all.... keeping the car cl;assy and rubbing ruins that real quick.... so i guess 19's are the only thing for me to do..... so wow, the sport package really lowers it just enough to have to fit certain packages... interesting

Same setup here, even a little lower.

I have no rubbing at all.

Might be a wheel offset thing.
Do you have MRR GT-1 wheels?
Ad which brand of tires do you have?

I'm assuming you're running 245/35/20 fronts and 285/30/20 rears.
Is that correct?

i didnt cut the rear lip i just rolled it.but after that it would still rub on something till i noticed it was rubbing in the inner bumper lip right where the bumper and the rear fender meet(quarter panels).

My Ride: Simple and Stunning....2004 BMW 530i...Tinted Windows...More to Come !
Default

For the last two weeks I have checked almost every post on this forum about wheels .I m in a big dilemma to upgrade wheels and tires on my Black 2004 530i with regular suspension. Please help me as this post is somewhat related to my issue. I am deciding between
A. Vossen 082 machined black
B. Vertini Hennessy
C. MRR HR6 (no lip) .

Now the biggest question, 19" or 20" .

I am not a pro at mods and do not want to roll the fenders and obviously do not want any rubbing (as evryone) . Some of the members have recommended tire sizes as 245/35/20 (f) and 275/30/20 ? and one post says some other sizes. I really want to get this straighten-out to plan accordingly.

Please try to rate the wheels as 1 ,2 and 3 as 1 being most siutable.

Thanks in Advance.

also would getting m5 fenders on the front solve the front rubbing issue? or no
