Hello all,

I want to find out any E60 owner have install the GruppeM Ram air system, any experience or dyno record to share would be great
I first saw this on my brother's E46 few years back, it's one of the best looking CF intake system I've ever seen, top notch quality and great performance you can actually feel.
Now, I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger, but before I fork out $1800, I'd want to hear from E60 owners that experienced with this system, how's the sound and performance.
Thanks guys!

Dan

Any hardcore BMW fan out there done this and tested? I'm planning to get it from Beastpower, they offer nothing but high end Euro aftermarket parts, their selections are no comparison. But before I do so, can any body vouch for them? I want to do as much home work as I can before placing the order. So, anyone want to share their experience with the GruppeM intake or with Beastpower. Much appreciated!

It looks great but from my understanding there is no horsepower gain from the cf airboxes at least on the m5. I was under the impression that it was purely aesthetic. I think your money would be better spent on some RPI scoops and bmc filters.

i don't recall seeing one on an E60 on this forum. If you are about to pull the trigger, i would highly suggest doing a pre and post dyno. That's a huge chunk of change to drop without proven gains. You could go with the RPi scoops, drop in filter for $189.00. the gains are 7-10 WHP and has already been dyno proven.

Here is an extensive thread with photos about this intake: https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showto...&hl=GruppeM

Next time, you may want to try the search function first if a modding question comes up. The intake looks beautiful but I do not believe that there are any demonstrated power gains with it. RPI scoop is an inexpensive way to gain 7-10 bhp.

$1800 is a lot of money if it is unproven! Get your facts BEFORE you purchase!

This is a mod that I'd only purchase for looks. Of course, with the hood closed, you don't see it anyway. For this kind of $$$, one could get a RPI scoop, an RPI exhaust and an ECU reflash -- mods that could gain you a combined total of about 40-50 bhp.

Thanks fellas for the replies and suggestions I really don't want to fork out that kind of money either, that's why I'm here hoping someone with past experience can give me some feedback, good or bad. But come on now, it's the sexiest CF intake in the market, the quality, the looks, the perfect fitment
I should contact GruppeM for some record, if they have it. Thanks!

I would just save 1800 and get the RPI exhaust for (18-20WHP) and scoops (7-12 WHP) for about 1200. You would smoke any car in a race with a groupe m setup. All show and no go? or All go no....well a little bit of show is great if you got the go.
