I definitely wouldn't want something that would hurt performance. THough I love the quad exhaust look.

Hmmm... any dyno charts or literature to back that up? Not saying your wrong, its a good point.

the only dyno we ever did on quads ws on a 530i and it showed 4hp gain max and 7TQ (I may have that reversed).
Another customer did a dyno, and told us he got 5HP from ours but only 2TQ gain. No one has yet reported a degradation in output.
This exhaust - single side with 2 pipes (probably 90+ mm) should behave much the same way.

Lots of factors to look into when purchasing an exhaust, what diameter the tubing is, is it mandrel bent, and what kind of stainless steel is used in its construction. Last thing you want is a rusted exhaust a few months after installing it.
$550 for a proper catback exhaust would be a damn good deal.
