Yup, me too. My stock grills came like that. Chrome outers and black inners.

I bought the all chrome ones after that, and now I have all matte black.

Anybody want to buy my old grills?

I actually wanted to have a different look to my grill. Didn't want to be like everyone else... So, i redid mine to a sleeker, sportier look than all chrome. I love it.
With matt black paint, a paint sponge, some tape and a few coats of paint. vuewala!!.
I left the Chrome outer to eventually match my forged wheels, and matted out the inside...
