I finally got rid of my stock Dunlop runflats and replaced all four with Michellin PS2. There is no comparison between the Dunlops and the PS2. The PS2 are much more quiet and smooth. I haven't really been able to test out the handling yet but I'm already very happy with the ride

I came from 17 inch crapinnetals and have 19 in piolt sports on my car although not the a/s ones. I love the tires as they are grippy quite and smooth even when it is cold outside. They also look damn good in the 245 35 19 front and 275 30 19 rear but damn they are expensive roughly 800.00 for the rears and 700.00 for the front set. Just put them back on for the warm weather that may not get here as it is sleeting in Richmond as i speak. The e34 will be driven today i guess pics soon.

Well, I need tires too.. over 15K... i checked around and the best i can get the Michelin PS2s (rears) installed with tax (6%)are $375 each and the fronts are $343. I asked the shop for some alternatives and he recommended the new line from Bridgestone called Fusion. The Fusion ZR1s (same technology as the SO3 pole positions but at a BETTER price. Rears $220 and Front $180 for 19's does anyone has any experience with these tires <_<

i cant tell you from any experience, but i think ZR rated tires are rated for 300+km/h

which is really, really,

really, fast.

I just took mine in with 10k miles because of the tire wine. Dunlop is replacing them with another version at n/c. Or, I can pay for a different tire, getting a credit for what is left on mine.

For the cost, the replacements at n/c but not be a bad deal - I need to find out what they are.

FYI: The new 5 series sports are coming with Bridgestones.

I've been blown away by Toyo's Proxes T1-S on my current car (not an E60). It's perhaps the best perfomance tire on the market. It was the tire used by the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car series for several years before they switched to the race version from Toyo. Sidewall is on the soft side for a high performance tire yet the grip is phenomenal.

Just as an aside, a fraternity brother and good friend of mine is a driver/owner in that series - James Clay #36 - http://www.world-challenge.com/2005/entrylist-tc.html

His team races 3-series exclusively.
