Get the 39mm size. that's the sizing of our License plate space. I've gotten mine on Ebay. Look for LED SMD 39mm. nice and bright!

Thanks for the idea of resistors. Worked excellent, and switched the triangle off. Paid 45p each for the 2 resistors from Maplin (Electrical superstore) in the Uk.
