Got my rims today....over the moon!
Clearly a couple of you dont believe gearing in a car matters-how do you think your final drive and tranny gearing works-they are "wheels" in gear form. Changing and increasing your wheel/tire diameter is like adding taller gears to the whole system. You can do the calculation or search in my prev posts-All you do is compare the two sizes and turn it into a percentage-so if the oem was 90 percent of the new 20 inch setup than you apply that to the final drive and calculate a new final drive and then you can calculate the torque at each gear with the new final drive.
I misspoke however, it is a loss of 15-20 foot pounds-and since hp is a calcuation derived from torque--you can do the math.
If you think this logic is equivelent to thinking a black car is faster then you are very uneducated and dont understand gearing which is the biggest factor in what torque is put down at the wheels.
And there is a difference ine what "most" people like v. what is the "correct" OEM fitment--you may prefer that sertup but it is not within OEM specs-and that is a fact

if you have any info backing up that 15-20 ft. lb. claim, please enlighten us. otherwise, pulling numbers out of thin air is misleading and does the forum quite a dis-service.
additionally, people modify their cars to none OEM spec all the time. that's the great part of the hobby: don't like something? change it. "afterall the point of mods is to improve driving experience..."
also, putting tape in your airbox is not within OEM specs- and that is fact
