looks like those are 245/35/20 and 275/30/20? those are too much tire---overall diameter would be too big-or maybe I mis read it

um no they aren't. 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 are the right sizes. If you go to 20s and want to keep the same diameter you need 245/30/20 and 275/25/20

amazing how virtually every post someone chimes in has bad information that is completely wrong yet has mods and drives their car modded-scary. Your speedo and equivelent gearing changes with larger diameter wheels/tires than stock to the tune of losing an equivelent of 15-20 hp--so ya those are not the rigth sizes bro

Most e60 people with 20's prefer the look and feel of 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. If going with a 25 series tire for the rear, Tirerack recommends 295/25/20 for the rear. Your claim to losing 15-20 HP sounds a bit false!

Sorry, have to agree with the below.

I run 245/35/20 front and now have 275/30/20 rear, with no noticeable loss in power (and you'd think we'd notice 15-20 hp loss in a 225hp car).
I previously ran 285/30/20 in the rear. I also have pretty lightweight wheels, but not sure if that makes a huge difference.

i also run 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 and love the feel and handling of the car. 30F/25R is too uncomfortable and horrible w/ potholes.

my speedo is off my 1mph at 80mph: comparing my speedo with my GPS. stock speedo are always off anyways. if anything, it corrected the speedo.

loss of 15-20hp because the tires are taller??? is that the same logic as black cars are faster and adding matte black kidney grills add 10HP

HAHAHAHA, also, if you believe that taller tires make the car THAT much slower than all you need to do is the infamous "floormat deletion mod" which we all know gets you 100hp

well i've just had my rims mounted and i have to say the ride on my tire setup ia real comfortable. No rubbing and its still a soft ride when i go over humps. 25 and 20 would have been a much worse drive IMO
