For OEM wheels, these are my top choice. The offset in the rear is OK, but can be corrected with a 10mm spacer.
If I had the extra $3k to throw around, I would've went aftermarket forged 20" wheels.
These look much better than the 18" wheels that comes on the 530i, 545i, and 550i.

is 166 style a American only style wheel? I've just phoned BMW UK and they don't know what it is... or do you have to get them somewhere else?

who's part numbers are they??? They are not BMW Part Numbers at least they are not BMW UK part numbers... according to a BMW UK Dealer there is only one offical 19" wheel that you can get for this car..... ???
So who do I quote that part number too??

Just tell your dealer that you want -if this is the case- to have the style 166 wheels fiitted on your E60, there is only one size: 19" and that's it, no rubbing, perfect and light weight. Good luck.
