Look at the Passport 8500. I used V-1 for a while and almost got nailed.

Switched to Passport 8500 WITH the front and rear laser detector/jammers.

Like everyone else here,I have trouble staying subsonic .... and to date

I have not been detected. 100% stealthy. The only thing it won't help with

is VASCAR.

Not so. V1 is a radar detector, and they are legal in CA. Radar jammers are illegal.

Not so. The V1 is a radar/laser detector, which is legal in CA. Perhaps Mike Valentine's former colleagues at Passport are spreading that BS!

Where did you come up this BS? They are completely legal.

I live just off Malibu Canyon and it is easy to get nailed...even with a Radar Det., they will blast it on and off and you will get caught anyway....however, a little tip: my last 4 times getting pulled over for speeding, all on PCH (same cops - Ca. Hwy Patrol) I came away without tickets. I pull over, keep my hands on the wheel, get everything ready for them and when they get to my window and ask if I know why they pulled me over, I immediately tell them they caught me dead to rights and give them my speed "I am guessing that when your radar hit me I was doing about 64, is that close?." They usually chuckle, hand me my license and tell me slow down and get out of here.
I am not saying it will work, but if you want to make sure you are going to get a ticket, just say, 'no officer, I don't know why you pulled me over'. Thats an automatic ticket.
