tru only issue i got is i need it to be local because i got no way to transport the bumpers and there gonna have to be brought in my car via hanging out the window lol

My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
Yes and no. There's Maaco paint, and Dupont Paint, and PPG paint etc. There's flex additives needed to be used for the bumpers as well since it flexes a lot. Clearcoat must also be applied properly. One can paint a bumper within one hour but will it last? Nope. Correct primer must also be applied. Prep is ONE of the most important step especially here in NYC. Salt, snow, crazy drivers.
also shops up here tried to charge me $1000 just to do my front bumper, my shop did all my bumpers, mirrors and skirts for $1050 out the door, using the same paints and a better curing process
OMIGOD! $1000 for just one bumper??? They're crazy! $1050 for bumpers, mirrors, and skirts sounds about right. BMW does use flex additives in the bumpers. They have to or else the paint will crack when the bumpers flex. Have you seen some extreme flexes yet? I've seen MANY here in NY for the past few weeks. I am about to see more bumper flexing when cars try to plow their way through snow/ice next week.
