M5 front brakes look great. Planning on doing the same sometime soon. Was this a direct bolt on install? Did you have to modify anything?

The front and rears are bolt on, about 98% compatible

Uh the front rotors take a smaller rotor bolt thats like 3 bucks, the rears dont have any cause the holes dont line up..odd but still works.

Uh the rear dust shields need to be finessed out of the way.

For a front only application you just need the rotor mounting bolt, full caliper loaded with pads and rotor. Lines optional. then a flush.

Do it! M5 Badge all the way! Just make sure you slap a glass pack on that 525 exhaust so it sounds MEAN AND RICE!

Oh almost forgot...

My stock brakes weighed in like 25lbs perside fronts (rotor & caliper loaded)

The 545i Brakes I have for sale weighed in at like 32lbs

The M5's ......24lbs heavier than the 545i, These things are Woolly Mammoths

I figured I added at least 100lbs to the car, Time to take out the seats

Did you do the brake conversion yourself or have a shop do it? If a shop, how much was the labor?

Is getting M5 brakes poser? I can see adding the badge, but there are a few members here who have upgraded the their brakes to M5 brakes. It is a cost effective mod, considering the Brembo kits are $3200 an axle, the M5 kits I have seen go for around $900-1100.
