Here's something I found with the BMW Valve Stem.
They scratch my rims, yes I just noticed slight scratchs around the stem.
I have style 128 rims , not sure they scratch other styles.

If you put heavy valve stem caps on, the weight causes the valve stems to bend outward at speed, due to centrifugal force. Porsche actually sells supports that glue on the wheel and press against the stem to keep it from bending outward.

Hey,

Here's some pics.. I dont know how to explain it in text but ill try. There's a little plastic edge sticking out and this is where you tighten it on with the plastic "key". When you turn the cap nothing happens, it just rotates, you have to grab ahold of of that thin plastic piece to remove it which is impossible without the key.

I don't think these are made by BMW but by some third party vendor. I got them from the dealer though.

Hey Cool! I like that... BMW should make those... I got my own way of securing them.

I have those exact ones. 2 were stolen within 2 weeks. Since then I have replaced them and they have been on for about 6 mos now.

Someone on here posted pics of their wheels with the BMW Roundel valve stem caps.? Someone asked the guy whether they were stolen frequently and he said "no", they can't be stolen without the key" or something like that.

I asked my dealer and he said that's BS (as far as he knows).? Anyone have these out there?? Is there a way to lock them on?? Sounds a little far fetched to me.? I like the way they look, but I can totally see them being stolen the first week.

If anyone really finds out how to order these, please post. There are a ton on eBay, but all seem to have the "steal me" sign on them. In other words, no "anti-theft" key thing.

Thanks all...
