My Ride: 535 D - to be delivered end Feb 2005 - color E08 - comfort seats - executive leather balck - 122 wheels - dynamic drive - active steering - pack luxe - tecnology pack - moon roof - 6CD player - hifi system - spare wheel - BT phone
Any feedback on the Goodyear NCT5 in 245/45/17 W which are fitted on my new 535D.
I am surprised by the very high pressure: up to 3,2 bars at the rear loaded.
From the stiker, it would be 2,7 if it would be Y rated in the same dimension.

I had these on my car. Probably the only one in the US. I got rid of them after 3,000 miles. I bent 3 rims and got bubbles in 2 of the tires from hitting pot holes. They had good performance, but the ride was extremely stiff. I am very happy with my non RF Bridgestone Potenza RE 750s.
Also, I could only get the NCT 5s in the US from the dealer and they cost about $400 each.

The pot holes were nothing unusual for spring around here - maybe 2" to 3" deep. The sidewalls of the run flats are so stiff that it transmits all of the shock into the wheel. I've hit similar pot holes now with the non run flats and have had no problems.
Just be careful for now!

A very poor tyre for this car in my opinion. Harsh ride characteristics, marginal grip in damp conditions, very easy to slide. Reasonably quiet though.
Dont like em !
