i think gold only looks good on lightning blue (i tihnk that's subaru's gold), white, or black cars (tru5g's ride looks effing sick). with that said i gotta agree with the others who said don't paint it gold. i love brushed aluminum wheels, but i'm not sure if it's possible to repaint it to that finish. my .02

 

Jeff have you considered a trunk finisher? I think it would set the back off nicely.
