glovebox flashlight

anyone know how to open the glovebox flashlight? im wanting to upgrade it to maybe a few led bulbs....

anyone ever try this?

Never even thought of modding the flashlight. You got me thinking it might be a quick mod...

That OEM glovebox flashlight is useless...
I just carry around a small LED penlight and a 9 SMD LED thumb sized flashlight I got as a bonus from harborfreight.com ...

I know you can easily pop the clear plastic piece off, but as far as removing the bulb and modding the light, im not sure. It would be cool to throw some SMD's in it.

Its sealed. I modified mine to make a plug in auxillairy 12v supply, and had to break the unit open

maybe ill buy an extra to break it open and see if i can throw some leds in it...

Just in case you are not aware, there is another auxiliary outlet at the passenger foot-well

Or you guys COULD just keep an brighter LED flashlight in the glove box. Just a thought.

why would you want to do that? more clutter that way... the stock bmw flashlight has a nice little spot and is rechargable....
