Hey everyone,

I had a question concerning the look of Beyern Mesh on my 535. I have a 09 Space gray metallic and I was considering the gloss black finish with a chrome lip. The other choice is a standard silver with a chrome lip. I kinda wanted something that stood out a little more than the basic silver, but I could use your guys' opinion. What would you think if you saw me on the road with black rims? Should I keep mine stock (I have star spoke 124's)? AND... how much do you think I could get for my 17 inch OEM 124's, wheels only?

Pics are posted below.

Thanks!

just reiterating:

1. 124s are 18s - not 17s
2. 124s with some spacers will look hot on a RWD sport pack car. REALLY GOOD
3. I'd get the Beyerns in gunmetal and chrome lip and install some other accents to match - matte black grilles, tints, smoked side markers and so on...

I would consider buying the gloss black finish if you really want to stand out... Good luck!!!

I had the high gloss black/silver lip 18s on a sport e60 and liked them but 18s just look too small with those wheels since the chrome lip causes the 18s to look more like 17s since the actual wheel/mesh part is only 17 inches plus about an inch of the chrome surrounding so you would have to go 19s or 20s to look right but then they are wayyyy to heavy. The 18 8.5s weighed 29 pounds each. The 19 9.5 weigh 38 pounds each.

I ended up getting velocity hyperblack csl style and they look soooo much better. Especially wtih space grey. Mine is black and I love it.

If you do the blackout look, I would continue the theme on the car and get rid of the rest of the chrome. You cannot go wrong with silver but black works real well if you keep the blackout theme.
